This is obviously one of the most famous things to do in Broome. Make sure you visit during the day and see the dinosaur foot prints and then again at sunset and drive down on to the beach and watch the camels walk up and down the beach as the sun goes down. Just make sure you watch the tide & have a 4WD.
Roebuck Bay
Come down here when the tide is in and chuck up your drone for a Birdseye view of this spot. It is absolutely stunning!! The colours are magical.

This was our favourite beach in Broome! The red rock, next to the white beach sand and the ocean is beautiful. We loved exploring along this stretch of the coast, there are so many little carparks which access Reddell Beach, it is definitely worth day-tripping and stopping in at a few. There are rock-pools to explore, and then the next is just beach with the red cliff against it! So different and so beautiful!
Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park
Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park: Well, this was Keelan’s top thing to do in Broome! It was $35 entry and well worth it. We learnt so much about Esturine (salt water) crocodiles, freshwater crocodiles and alligators. We left with a healthy respect for crocodiles, we would say that it should be the first thing you do in Broome before you go and check out any of the beaches or rivers in the area!! The information is invaluable and you get to see a crocodile feeding session at 3pm, which was awesome. Oh, and hold a baby crocodile, can’t forget that part!

Matso’s Brewery: Chilli Ginger Beer… Try it! Trust us!! This one is just a must-do in Broome, you can’t visit and not go to Matso’s!! We would recommend going in the afternoon and having a few drinks as the sun goes down, there is a really nice vibe at Matso’s.
Staircase to the Moon

Staircase to the Moon at Town Beach. If you are lucky enough to visit Broome on one of the few days of the month that this happens, you have got to go! This natural phenomenon happens 2-3 days of each month between March & October. There is also night markets on at Town beach for some of these days, so check on the Broome Visitor Centre website and see if your holiday dates line up! Make sure to get down early to get a spot and prepare yourself for a crowd, because there are literally hundreds of people down there watching it with you. We got a spot on the rocks at the very front so no one could stand in front of us, which is what had happened when we sat on the grass the first night we went to see it. So we went a second time and made sure we got front row seats. It is magical. If you have the option, go to the event that happens later, we went the first night when it was happening at 5:49pm and the second time it was at 6:45pm so it was darker and it looked a lot cooler the second night.
Broome Markets
Broome Markets (Saturday 8am-1pm). They are on Sunday’s as well, but there were more stalls at the Saturday markets and the Sunday markets were half the size. The Mango smoothies are pretty good! We also heard everyone raving about the donuts, but we couldn’t find the donut van to save our lives (heartbreaking, I know).
